Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and Haislin. By creating an account, joining a workspace, purchasing a subscription, or using the services, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use Haislin for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.
If you do not agree, do not access or use the services.
The Haislin service
Haislin provides tools for professional live-video and media operations, which may include protected RTMP or SRT ingest, channel management, stream forwarding, HLS playback, recording, media storage, access controls, audience and stream telemetry, social-media publishing, and team workflows. Features may vary by plan, account status, region, provider eligibility, or technical availability.
We may improve, modify, replace, or discontinue features. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that significantly reduce paid functionality.
Accounts and workspace access
You must provide accurate account information, maintain the confidentiality of your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for configuring appropriate permissions for workspace members.
You may not share credentials in a way that bypasses account limits. Workspace owners and administrators may manage members, content, streams, billing, and access within their workspace.
Subscriptions, billing, and taxes
Paid plans are billed according to the price, billing interval, capacity, and features shown when you subscribe. Charges may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Haislin does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You authorize recurring charges and are responsible for applicable taxes, usage charges, overages, and fees disclosed for your plan. Plan changes, credits, prorations, refunds, and cancellation timing follow the terms presented during the billing flow and any mandatory law.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of video, audio, images, metadata, recordings, stream titles, and other content you submit or transmit through Haislin. You grant Haislin and its service providers a limited, worldwide license to ingest, host, copy, encode, transcode, record, store, route, display, and deliver that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the services or comply with law.
You represent that you have all rights, licenses, releases, notices, and permissions required to capture, transmit, record, store, distribute, and monetize your content and to include every person, performance, trademark, musical work, or other protected material it contains.
Acceptable use
You must use Haislin lawfully and in a way that does not harm the platform, viewers, third parties, or other customers.
- Do not transmit illegal content or content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Do not distribute malware, deceptive code, spam, or material intended to compromise systems or viewers.
- Do not probe, scan, overload, reverse engineer, bypass, or interfere with security, authentication, capacity controls, or service operation except where law expressly permits.
- Do not use another person’s account, stream key, token, content, or data without authorization.
- Do not use the service for abuse, exploitation, credible threats, or non-consensual intimate content.
- Do not misrepresent stream health, audience data, affiliation, or the origin and authorization of content.
Live-streaming responsibilities
You control when a channel goes live, where it is forwarded, whether it is recorded, who may view it, and how embedded players are published. Test your encoder, destinations, access rules, backup paths, and player before an important broadcast.
Live delivery depends on encoders, networks, third-party destinations, audience devices, CDNs, and other systems outside Haislin’s control. Haislin does not guarantee that every stream will be uninterrupted, error-free, preserved, or accepted by a third-party destination.
Recordings, storage, and export
Storage and recording availability are subject to plan limits, quotas, retention settings, and account status. Recordings may fail or be incomplete because of source interruptions, network conditions, capacity limits, or third-party failures.
Haislin is not your sole archival system. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of content that must be preserved and for exporting content before cancellation, expiration, or deletion. We may delete content after the applicable retention period or when necessary to enforce limits, respond to your request, protect the service, or comply with law.
Third-party services
The services may interoperate with encoders, CDNs, cloud storage, payment providers, authentication services, analytics tools, websites, streaming destinations, and social-media platforms operated by others. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and policies. Haislin is not affiliated with or endorsed by a provider merely because an integration is available, and is not responsible for third-party availability, conduct, content decisions, account actions, or changes.
Haislin intellectual property
Haislin and its licensors own the services, software, interfaces, documentation, designs, logos, and related intellectual property, excluding your content. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the services during your authorized subscription or account access.
You may provide feedback. If you do, you permit Haislin to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
Copyright complaints
Haislin respects intellectual-property rights. Copyright or DMCA notices may be sent to [email protected]. A notice should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, the required good-faith and accuracy statements, and an authorized signature. We may remove or restrict content and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Haislin at any time and may cancel a subscription through available billing controls. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund except where stated or required by law.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, security risk, unlawful activity, material breach, harm to the service or others, legal requirements, or discontinued services. When practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Haislin disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant uninterrupted broadcasting, preservation of recordings, specific audience levels, compatibility with every encoder or destination, or that the services will meet every production requirement. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haislin and its affiliates, personnel, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost revenue, profits, goodwill, data, content, audiences, or business interruption, arising from the services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haislin’s total liability for all claims relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid Haislin for the affected services during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Haislin and its affiliates, personnel, and suppliers from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your content, your use of the services, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Haislin’s own unlawful conduct.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at Haislin’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence must apply. Courts with jurisdiction over Haislin’s principal place of business will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Before filing a formal claim, each party agrees to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute by contacting the other and allowing a reasonable response period.
Changes and general terms
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, security, or business changes. The updated version will show a revised date. If a material change affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, email, or another appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; Haislin may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the relevant business. These terms, the Privacy Policy, plan terms, and terms presented at purchase form the complete agreement for the services.
Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to [email protected]. Billing and enterprise inquiries may be sent to [email protected], and copyright notices to [email protected].
Social-media publishing
You may connect eligible third-party social accounts and instruct Haislin to create drafts, schedule content, or publish text, images, videos, captions, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, privacy settings, and other options to destinations you select. You authorize Haislin to use the permissions granted through the provider’s authorization flow only to operate the connection and carry out authorized workspace actions.
You are responsible for selecting the correct account, audience, publication time, content, and platform settings; obtaining all necessary rights and disclosures; and complying with each provider’s terms, community standards, advertising rules, music and intellectual-property policies, and technical limits. Workspace members with publishing permissions may act for the workspace, so workspace owners must manage roles carefully.
A provider may reject, delay, modify, remove, restrict, demonetize, or otherwise act on a publication. Scheduling depends on Haislin, the provider, network availability, connection validity, token status, and provider review or approval. Haislin does not guarantee publication, reach, engagement, monetization, continued account eligibility, or preservation of content by a provider. Review important posts after publication and keep independent copies.
