Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to Haislin websites, applications, dashboards, players, support channels, and live-video infrastructure services that link to it. “Haislin,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of those services.
This policy does not govern a customer’s own websites, events, membership systems, or other services, even when they embed a Haislin player. Customers are responsible for their own privacy notices and permissions when they collect information or stream content through Haislin.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information generated through service operation, and limited information from service providers and integrations.
- Account information, such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, password-reset state, multi-factor authentication state, language preference, and account settings.
- Workspace and team information, such as organization or team names, member roles, invitations, permissions, and activity associated with the workspace.
- Streaming and media information, such as channel titles, handles, ingest and playback configuration, forward destinations, recordings, uploaded media, clips, metadata, token status, storage use, and actions taken in the dashboard.
- Social connection and publishing information, such as provider, connected account or channel identifiers, display name, username, avatar, account type, granted permissions, connection and token status, provider metadata, drafts, captions, titles, descriptions, selected media, platform options, schedules, publication status, provider post identifiers and URLs, and error or retry history.
- Technical and operational information, such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs, timestamps, region, stream connection events, bitrate, resolution, health signals, errors, playback requests, and audience counts.
- Subscription and transaction information, such as plan, billing interval, order and subscription status, amounts, currency, renewal dates, and identifiers returned by our payment provider. Complete card details are generally handled by the payment provider rather than Haislin.
- Communications, such as support requests, sales inquiries, abuse or copyright reports, feedback, and related correspondence.
- Website and preference information, such as cookies required for authentication, active team, interface preferences, language, and—when configured—privacy-conscious traffic analytics.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate Haislin, perform customer instructions, maintain accounts and subscriptions, secure the platform, and communicate with users.
- Authenticate users, support MFA, manage sessions, workspaces, roles, and access.
- Create and operate ingest endpoints, players, forwarding, recording, media processing, storage, and delivery workflows.
- Display channel health, operational events, audience signals, plan usage, and capacity information.
- Process subscriptions, orders, plan changes, invoices, and customer support.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, credential misuse, attacks, outages, and violations of our terms.
- Debug, monitor, maintain, and improve performance, reliability, usability, and product features.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect users, Haislin, and third parties.
Legal bases where applicable
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you; for legitimate interests such as securing, operating, supporting, and improving the services; to comply with legal obligations; and with consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent for future processing, but this does not affect prior lawful processing.
Customer content and live streams
Haislin processes customer content on the customer’s instructions to provide ingest, transcoding, forwarding, recording, storage, playback, and related operations. Depending on customer configuration, a stream, player, recording, or shared link may be public, access-controlled, token-protected, or available to selected team members.
Do not transmit personal information or record individuals unless you have the notices, permissions, and lawful basis required for your production. Customers determine the purpose and audience for their content and are responsible for responding to requests concerning people shown or heard in that content, except where Haislin has an independent legal obligation.
Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain security and business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by information type, plan, workspace settings, account status, backup cycle, and legal requirements.
Customer recordings, media, clips, social drafts, publication records, destination results, and related metadata may be retained according to plan limits and product settings and may be deleted after cancellation, expiration, disconnection, quota enforcement, a customer request, or the applicable retention period. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, auditing, accounting, dispute resolution, or law.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authenticated sessions, protected credentials, and measures appropriate to the service. No internet transmission, storage system, or live-video workflow is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting account credentials, stream keys, access tokens, devices, encoder configurations, and team permissions. Contact [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
International processing
Haislin and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers and take steps designed to protect information consistently with this policy.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
To submit a request, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and describe the request. We may verify identity and authority before acting. Some information may be exempt, and we may retain information where permitted or required by law. Workspace content requests may need to be directed to the customer organization that controls that workspace.
Your choices
You can update certain profile, team, stream, media, social publishing, and subscription settings in the dashboard. You can choose whether to configure recording, forwarding, embeds, shared links, autoplay, or a social connection. You can disconnect a social account and stop or cancel eligible scheduled publications through available controls. You can change the site language at any time, and the preference will be remembered in a cookie.
You may cancel a subscription through available billing controls and may request account or content deletion through support, subject to workspace authority, retention requirements, provider behavior, and the rights of other workspace members.
Children
Haislin is a professional infrastructure service and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts. If you believe a child provided account information without appropriate authorization, contact [email protected].
Customers streaming events involving minors are responsible for appropriate notices, permissions, access controls, and compliance with applicable child-privacy and safeguarding requirements.
Third-party links and destinations
The services may link to or send streams and content to third-party websites, players, encoders, payment pages, and destinations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before enabling an integration or providing information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, practices, or legal requirements. The current version will show the latest update date. If a material change significantly affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, email, or another appropriate channel before it takes effect when required.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. Copyright notices should be sent to [email protected]. We will route verified privacy requests to the appropriate person or service provider for response.
Connected social accounts and publishing
When an authorized workspace member connects a social account, the provider sends Haislin authorization credentials and account information permitted by the approved scopes. Provider access and refresh tokens are handled by the server and are not returned to the browser. We use them to discover eligible destinations, maintain the connection, refresh or revoke access where supported, validate provider requirements, and publish or schedule content when instructed.
When you publish, Haislin sends the selected content, media, metadata, audience or privacy choice, schedule, and platform options to the chosen provider. The provider then processes that information under its own privacy notice. Haislin may receive publication identifiers, URLs, processing states, account status, and error information in response. We do not use a connected account to publish without an authorized workspace action.
Disconnecting an account stops future Haislin publishing through that connection and initiates revocation where supported. It does not delete content already published, data retained by the provider, or Haislin records that must be kept for security, auditing, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
